Mercury Security, a global leader in OEM access control hardware, proudly announces that the Mercury Government Solution Platform has won the Security Today Magazine Govies Government Security Award in the Access Control Software / Controllers category.
The award program honors the outstanding product development achievements of security equipment manufacturers whose products are considered particularly noteworthy in their ability to improve security. An independent panel of judges from the security industry selected the top entries based on the product’s features, innovation, user friendliness, interoperability, quality, design, and impact in the security industry and scalability
“Built on Authentic Mercury open architecture, our new government solution platform underscores Mercury’s commitment to create innovative products that address the evolving government vertical market and regulatory requirements,” said Matt Barnette, President of Mercury Security. “We are honored to be recognized by Security Today magazine, as this award reinforces our philosophy of providing open, interoperable solutions enabling customers the freedom to choose products and applications that best meet their needs.”
The new Mercury Government Platform delivers a true government access control solution that provides all of the functionality required to create and manage high-privilege accounts, while leveraging existing provisioning infrastructures. This reduces the cost of system deployment and makes administration and audit activities much faster, easier and more reliable.
Mercury’s vendor-agnostic platform provides complete assurance of federal government IDs to the Federal Bridge for stronger authentication of cardholder data at the controller level, allowing PIV credentials to be authenticated prior to validation of access rights for advanced authentication. Initially supporting authentication modules from HID Global and Technology Industries, the platform makes it possible for vendors to create a manufacturer-specific authentication module with Mercury hardware.
Mercury’s Authentication Module technology is embedded into its Mercury EP4502 controller for a closed-looped, elegant solution that streamlines the implementation of a FICAM-compliant system.
