HISTORY

We’ve Had Our Eye on the Future for Decades

Since our start in 1992, we’ve focused on a distinct manufacturing niche: innovative OEM technology for the ever-changing world of facility security and access control. With over three decades of experience under our belt—and in collaboration with our partners and parent company, HID—we have built a future-proof platform that assures openness between leading software and technical solutions.

With more than 5 million controllers installed around the world, Mercury has grown to become the controller platform supplier of choice for true open architecture-based deployments. But that’s just the beginning.

Today, we’re working to establish controller standards among leading enterprise security and access control software designers. The goal? To create long-term stability in the security ecosystem, with systems that are ready for anything the future has in store.
